dora dora dora DORA!
christmas came again for alomae yesterday when my sister dropped by
a gift from her Auntie Sarah and cousins!
before I had alomae, I kinda made a rule in my head of no pink and purple plastic toys
and no over commercialized character accessories from tv shows!
well this christmas, she got both!
and she loves them....
Thanks to 24 hour fitness kids club,
alomae LOVES dora (and can also count to 10 in spanish!)
Just another lesson in motherhood and letting go...
heck, wood just isn't the most exciting all the time!
(plus, not everything they get has to leave the house! he he)

Playdate
The church so graciously gave the pastors a couple extra days off to make this
Christmas truly resting and fun!
So today Andy and I met some friends at a fun new place called
playdate pdx....
This place is crazy... and wonderful!
it's simply a giant play area for kids with tubes and slides and things to climb up and on and through...
Alomae (even being on the young side) had so much fun!
Andy and I were pooped though because we had to run through the whole place with her.
great place for older kids though because you can sit back and have coffee while they play to their hearts content!
In the past month we have been to OMSI, Pump it up, and now Playdate PDX.
OMSI's kids play area is still by far my favorite and the most visually appealing and stimulating...
so excited to us my membership we got and go once a week!

If you discover the secret to keeping those horrible plastic commercial toys away from your child please pass it on.
I can't decide if people give us that stuff because they think we're crazy for not allowing it or they are just oblivious to our constant reminders:/
