in need of protein.

for any Pregnant girls out there like me who do not
get enough Protein in their diet
(which is extremely important for fetal growth and
maternal health- ie: avoiding preeclampsia)

and

for those who have a hard time swallowing anything less then yummy tasting these days...

I have found the Solution!

8 oz of Organic Chocolate milk (9 grams of protein)
+
plus 2 scoops of Biochem 100% Whey Protein in Vanilla (20 grams protein)

=

almost
30 grams of Protein in one small little sip!

and get this...

It tastes like
(but not quite as sweet- so easy to drink)
cake batter!

now get your protein on and enjoy...

two & a half

Alomae,

when did you get so big!?

I cannot believe my baby girl is on her second half of 2 headed toward 3!

you are beyond fun...

you talk non stop and have a vocabulary and the ability to communicate like no
other small child I have seen!

to say you are a gift would be an understatement...

Daddy and I fall more and more in love with you every day
and each stage of your life truly truly gets better and better!

My favortie thing to do with you right now is read

"won't you be my kissaroo"

before naptime and bed....

on each page you give me the biggest sweetest juiciest kisses
and it never gets old!

Thank You for loving me so unconditionally and filling me with hugs
and kisses day after day...

your favorite things to do right now are:

watch angelina ballerina (and memorize all her ballet moves!)
sneak into mama's closet and wear "the really high ones" being my healed shoes
wear all my clothes (the other day when you woke up you were in my skirt...silly girl)
you dance and sing all the time... your favorite song right now is Taylor Swifts "mean" ha!
you are such a girl... You love pink, sparkles, princesses, ballerinas ect.
all the things I swear I would never introduce you too (which i didn't! you somehow
came across them on your own, even at 2!)

I want you to know sweet girl, even when your sister arrives,
you will always be my baby...

snippets of a work in progress...

I still have a couple things I am waiting on...
but it's coming together! My camera is broken
so here are some snippets of the girls room...
(kind of hard to get the full effect when you cannot
see it all in one frame!)

alomae's big girl bed!
(the changing pad cover is going to be gray)

chalkboard table

alomae's collection of animals, she sleeps with the ones in the basket every night!

ity bity newborn diapers!

dresser filled to the brim!

sweet new babies bed...

custom made boppy cover!

rocker
(still waiting on our gray pouf to go at the foot!)

so thats it for now...
pretty soon the loose ends will all come together!

You really have to get creative when putting two girls in a small room
in a rental where you are encouraged to put minimal holes in the
wall and not allowed to paint :)

Oh downtown living...

a bunting

Just finished this for the girls room...

now to hang it up!

a dip cone

yesterday we took Alomae to dairy queen for her
first dip cone (all to herself!)

the look on her face when I handed it over was beyond priceless...

she was one happy happy happy little girl!

can you believe this is a small!?

it got a little messy... she is a slow ice cream eater!

by the end, her shirt was off and we had to get creative with a banana split
dish and a spoon- but she did it! She ate it all and was talking about
ice cream all afternoon...

I love sharing these little moments with my girl!

at the fountain

today was such a beautiful summer day!
we spent the afternoon letting alomae play in the fountain...

she was a little nervous at first to get her toes wet, but ended
up having such a fun time splashing away!

to my girls...

God knew you before He made you

God has been with you from the start- in fact, from well before the start.

your existence is not random, nor is it an accident. God knew who he was creating,
and he has designed you for a specific work.

you were created "to do good works, which God prepared in advance for you to do"

~~~
I am reading "Crazy Love" by Frances Chan right now and when I read over the words
above he was speaking to me, I could not hep but think of you, my sweet girls.
I hope these words resonate in you from a young age. You were both a well thought out plan
created and put into form by the creator if the universe.
Your life has a purpose and has had one since long before you were growing inside me.
I am here to love you, guide you, and support you
but it is Jesus who knows the plans for you and who I will
always point you in the direction of.
Even as your mama I simply do not know it all,
not even what is best for you.
I promise to always seek Gods will for your life for I know you
were created by Him and for Him.
I feel so honored to get to share in that miraculous truth as
your mama.
I love you.
27 weeks & Mama got a new car!
I am 27 weeks today!
some would say the start of the 3rd trimester, but I am going with 28 weeks
for that (it will make it feel like less time)!
baby is growing and growing and growing...
(I will post a pic this weekend- I don't have one!)
every day I wake up a bit bigger :)
I am just now starting to feel really pregnant and have a slight back ache which I know
is just gonna get worse (bigger belly and lifting a 2.5 year old after all!)
Thank You Jesus for 24 hour fitness though!
I still feel so agile and am keeping up on my normal workouts
with only very minor adjustments, it truly is my sanity and is making
my body feel good.
Now that I am closer to the homestretch, I am thinking lots about my birth.
How I envision it, what I need here at home to make sure we are prepared.
I forgot all the supplies I need on hand:
extra towels
fish net
Large bowl
large ziplocks
straws
tarp
clean hose
faucet/hose adapter
sitz bath herbs
food for me
food for birth team
and these are just the things I could think of off the top of my head!
oh but it will be so worth it!
to get ready for baby, we traded in my Honda Element
last week and I got a Volvo V50.
I really love the look of them and have been eyeing them for awhile now. My Element needed new tires and some other work done on it so we decided that instead of putting more money into a car we knew we didn't want to keep- we would get
one we do want!
The Honda was great, but we originally got it for Otis, our 200 lbs
English Mastiff we had. It really is not the most practical car to drive with 2 kids.
those doors in a parking lot were the death of me!
so for now I will enjoy the newness of having a new-to-me car!
This Sunday begins the start of a busy time for me.
I go on call for 2 pregnant mama's due 5 days apart!
Oh how I pray they have wonderful, peaceful, smooth
births on 2 very separate days with some time for me
to rest in between!
I cannot wait to meet their babies!
