it didn't last long
so the snow didn't last very long,
just a couple hours!
alomae was so confused when we left the house again later that day...
she insisted on grabbing her "snow hat" and laying it on top of her head
to go play! I tried to explain that the snow was gone but she was insistent as
we walked out the door...
"SNOW!" she said with much glee...
yep, this two year old still managed to find a tiny snow ball
on the ground and could care less that all the other
snow was gone!
it's the simple things...

weekend away
it's been awhile! I have been busy and exhausted and busy some more!

andy and i returned yesterday from a whirlwind 24 hours at the beach
BY OURSELVES.
we had a gift certificate to stay at the Ocean Lodge in Cannon Beach
and had a sweet room that overlooked the stormy ocean
it was a quick trip that when looking back I feel pretty much revolved around food.
yep rest and eat is pretty much what we did!
first stop was Mo's for salad and Clam chowder
after lunch we checked into the hotel where Andy read and I took a nice long nap
in front of the fire place.
we then headed into Seaside to play a little put put but they were closed, so we headed to
the bowling alley in town but they too were closed...
So we were forced to bask in the much needed rest and headed back to the hotel!
for dinner there was a cute little pub right by the hotel where we got a delicious burger
and then we were off to the bistro for a slice of chocolate cake to eat back in the room.
I enjoyed a nice soak in the jetted tub (note: never turn on the jets before the water has
risen above them! you get sprayed so strong and hard and it can really be a shock!)
we then enjoyed some time in bed watching house hunters!
we do not have cable at home so it was kind of a treat to continue on our
relaxing by just doing nothing!
I lasted until about 9pm and I was fast asleep :)
did I mention I was tired!
we then drove home in the morning to see our sweet girl!
we wanted to make it through the pass before the weather got too bad...
it's always such a treat to spend time away with Andy,
we really do always have such a fun time!
