baby stripes

had my first prenatal today
and got to hear the baby's little (strong)
heartbeat!

until we find out what we are having, it's fun to
daydream about the prospects of a baby
boy...

stripes are everywhere right now
and super cute!

so much better then cars and trucks and
"daddy's little man" onesies.

so cute!
but I'm okay with another girl too...

either one is totally fine with me! (just not both!)

alomae,

what you have been up to:

you love to dance!
for christmas you received a high school
musical dance video at a white elephant game and a few weeks ago asked me to "watch it!"
i let you
and boy have we gotten so many laughs!

You are really good!
you totally know all the moves...

~

and you don't just dance, you can sing
you're favorite songs are

jesus loves me
i have decided to follow jesus
the itsy bitsy spider
we're all in this together (yes from the high school musical dance video)
if all the raindrops we're lemon drops and gum drops
God bless "_____" (thanks amber )
and the infamous "i love you song"

~

you still love all things babies...
I cannot wait until you fully get that mama is having one!

when you see a pregnant belly you get very excited and
just want to touch it and kiss it...

it's really sweet

when you are holding your babies you always say
"shhhhh it's okay, I got you!"

such a natural mama you are

~

alomae
you do so much & are so much fun!
i wish i could just bottle you up
and hold onto this time for ever...

but alas, i cannot.

that's okay though
because with each passing day i enjoy you more and more

i love watching you grow and thrive and learn.

being your mama is hard work but i wouldn't have it any other way

xoxo

mama

we have another lime

I was looking back to see when I started documenting my pregnancy
with alomae and sure enough it is exactly where I am now,

11 weeks
a lime

it's crazy that just a couple weeks ago our baby was just a blueberry!
growing & growing fast

This pregnancy has been MUCH different already for many reasons.

the obvious:

. i no longer work a 40 hour job
. i chase a 2 year old around all day
. it's not my first time being pregnant

the other:

. i have been nauseous! I was never with alomae (maybe a tiny bit)
but nothing to write home about
. i have remained active (for the most part when I have not
been SO tired) which has been so nice!
. i nap, almost daily when alomae does
. i have a hard time eating (yet eating is the only thing that helps)
so it's a catch 22. nothing sounds good yet i have to eat something!

pregnancy is a crazy thing

I am so glad to almost be out of my 1st trimester and back
among the land of the living.

I am so looking forward to walks in the sun and more
time outdoors with alomae.

~

Andy and I ask alomae all the time if she wants a "baby brother" or
"baby sister" she always says "baby brother, baby sister!"

sorry girl, mama can't handle that so you only get one!

if I had to guess today i would say a boy
but we shall see...

I am looking forward to a uneventful, healthy pregnancy!

this baby like alomae, will be born at home

11 down 29 (or 26 or 32) weeks to go!
i am realistic :)

coming this fall

I just rocked and put my child to sleep
with 2 baby dolls, a stuffed cow, stuffed bear,
and a frog...

she insisted on them all and when her eyes were closed
and I tried to sneak a couple away to the floor
she knew and called
for the ones she knew were
missing!

smart girl!

in other news....

wonder what this one will insist on sleeping with :)

no words.

"O Lord you hear the desire of the afflicted; you
will strengthen their heart, you will incline your ear
to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed
so that man who is on earth may strike
terror no more"

psalm 10:17-18
